Some of you less familiar with the complexities of poker may not understand my logic here, let me explain.  When Thiefz makes it $25 I can narrow his range to AK, QQ and Jd4d, Champis flat call pre implies he has a two pair drawing hand. I decide to lead flop to put maximum pressure on both opponents, obviously I have a decent straight draw which I do not want to be bluffed off, solution.............go all in. With this strong move I now have complete control of the hand and neither opponent can bluff me even if they want to.

Poker is hard sometimes

Had a heavy one last night, so I was pretty happy to have a very stress free 225 hand session, I can't really complain with how it started. All in pre w/QQ Vs AK at 2/4, I hold, at the same time I get in with the 2nd NFD and overs on a 9 high board against QQ, as Wongaman runs hot I obviously turn my flush. I played for another 45min during which I managed to stack the great Thor O at 5/10 where due to my sick laggy image he stacked off with QQ on a J high board in a 4bet pot Vs my AA.

It's been a while (now with added photoshop)

It's been a while since I updated the blog. For the last week or so I've been tour driver for my friends band which is why you won't have seen me donking away at the tables. The tour was great fun, with all the gigs being very well received. It was a pretty chilled week for me with the only hard day being a drive from Edinburgh to Nottingham then onto Sheffield after the gig. For the first day of the tour the band had a BBC 6 Music live session up in Manchester for the Marc Riley show. It was pretty cool getting to see behind the scenes at 6 Music and meet Mr Riley himself.

Yesterday was my first full-time day back at the tables, after a modest win during my first session I fired up the tables for round 2. This turned out to be a mammoth grind, I instantly dropped a bit and was soon stuck for around 2k. I probably would have quit if it hadn't been for a super donk sitting on 7k at one of my 5/10 tables, I pretty much decided that I wouldn't leave until the donk did. After around 5 hours of solid grinding I eventually hit some run good to finally get into the green for the day, it wasn't long after this that the donk left and I was able to quit for the day.

This was the biggest pot which went down at the table, see if you can spot the donk.
